Islam Means Submission

God is the Creator, the one that exists before any other exists, the Greatest, the Forgiver, and the Most Merciful..

Being a Muslim is to do a full submission to the only 1 God, as other God's creatures do..

"The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [ Allah ] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving." (Qur'an surah Al-Israa, ayah 44)

Muslims must not worship/pray to anything other than Him.

"It is You we worship and You we ask for help." (Qur'an surah Al-Fatihah, ayah 5)

Submission means surrender.. Believers must do exactly what God told them to do.

"..And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." (Qur'an surah Al-Baqarah, ayah 285)

As in Physics, movement of an object is calculated relatively to other object (or a certain point)..

..we could not judge a thing is good or bad, if we do not have guidance (anchor point). Thus, Allah SWT give us Qur'an through prophet Muhammad SAW.

"This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah." (Qur'an surah Al-Baqarah, ayah 2)
